Who We Are

About the Lodge

Sketty Hall Lodge No. 8752 meets under the banner of the Province of South Wales, one of the most vibrant and active provinces in the United Grand Lodge of England.

We are a friendly and welcoming lodge, proud of our close-knit community and our commitment to the principles that have guided Freemasonry for centuries: brotherly love, relief, and truth. Our members come from all walks of life, united by a shared dedication to personal development and charitable work.

We meet at the Swansea Masonic Hall on St Helen's Road — an elegant Victorian building that has hosted lodges and degrees since 1926 — and warmly welcome visiting brethren from across the Province and beyond.

Becoming a Freemason

What is Freemasonry?

Freemasonry is one of the world's oldest and most respected fraternal organisations. It brings together men of good character who, guided by the principles of integrity, friendship, respect and service, strive to make a positive difference in their lives and communities.

It is not a religion, not a secret society, and not a political organisation. It is a fraternity that welcomes men from all backgrounds, faiths and professions.

Who Can Join?

  • You are a man of good character
  • You are at least 18 years of age
  • You have a belief in a Supreme Being
  • You are interested in self-improvement and giving back
